The Agony and the Ecstacy

My nuptials approach and it's all starting to become very real for me. Our house is filled with pretty things that are virtually all in some shade of pink, yellow, or orange. Lots of tissue paper and styrofoam packing peanuts. Thank god Dee has her you-know-what together because if not for her I would be completely lost.
My current responsibility includes trying to track down our cake lady to see what she's come up with for the groom's cake. When I told her what my "vision" for the cake was she paused and then said, "Oh yeah, I can do that...no problem." At the time I was less than reassured and now I'm starting to get really nervous. Hopefully I won't be required to raid the Betty Crocker cake mixes at my local Hy-Vee a day or two before the wedding. If so, it's going to be one seriously sad cake. I remain hopeful that our cake lady is going to come through for us.
I just got a new mountain bike and so far it's a bit of a mixed bag for me. I purchased the Trek Fuel EX9 after selling my Gary Fisher Paragon. It's a big switch going from a 29er to a 26" wheel, not to mention hardtail to full suspension. But, like the cake lady, I remain hopeful that in the end it will be everything I hope for.

I'll make you a cake, Todd, if your lady doesn't come thru for you.
Are you loving the Fuel?? My Paragon is really growing on me!
